Stumbled upon howdys pizza and instantly became obsessed. My fiancé and I got the Caesar salad, focaccia appetizer, a couple pizzas and had the best time. Food was incredible, staff was warm and welcoming- the space is intimate with great vibes. I can’t wait to go back, highly recommend. Also check out the bathroom- inspo for decor. It’s so so cute!

If I could do 10 stars I absolutely would! I’ve been here twice now and will absolutely go back every week. The ambiance is amazing, pizza is the best I’ve ever had, and the staff is so kind. I love howdys!

Howdy’s has quickly become one of my favorite spots in Austin! From the moment you walk in, you can tell this place is a labor of love from Emily, the head chef and owner, and Rachel, the amazing FOH manager. As an LGBTQ+-owned business, they’ve created a welcoming, inclusive space where the hospitality is just as memorable as the food. The food is absolutely incredible. The agnolotti is a must-order—the sauce is so rich and flavorful that you’ll find yourself dipping your pizza crust into it because it’s simply too good to waste. Honestly, do yourself a favor and order a little bit of everything. Every dish is thoughtfully prepared and packed with flavor. I also really appreciate that they offer both gluten-free and vegetarian options, making it easy for everyone in your group to find something they’ll love. One thing to keep in mind: this is a cozy, intimate restaurant that’s perfect for parties of 3–4. If you’re planning to bring a group of 5 or more, just let them know in advance so they can prepare and give your party the best possible experience. Just happened to stumble on this NEW neighborhood place 10 min before they closed and ordered takeout as I thought it was just a quick pizza/pasta place on my way home and what an unexpected surprise - it’s a very cute, cozy, vintage vibey date night-like spot. Both the vibe and food quality reminds me of those incredible little restaurants in Greenwich village, NYC 💕 This time I only ordered the Agnolotti pasta and the pepperoni pizza for takeout but will def be back to dine-in and try the rest of the menu! The pasta is crazy good. Like, really really good. Chef Emily and Rachel at the front, were also super down to earth too making this place a truly wonderful new place in East Austin

Heard about this spot and decided to try it for an impromptu date night. So glad we did! I don't know what is in that pasta sauce but I want to order it every time now. Also I am very picky about Caesar salad and we cleared that bowl! Definitely coming back! Pasta is missing a piece in the photo because I couldn't resist before I took a picture! Recommend ordering the pasta sauce on the side to dip pizza crust in.
